Vendor Operations & Policies Overview

Notice-and-Takedown Policy: Bandalays acts strictly as a hosting platform, does not pre-screen all vendors or vendor inventory. Bandalays will review/remove reported content at its sole discretion within a reasonable time frame.

Indemnification: Vendors are legally responsible for the items they list and agree to indemnify and hold Bandalays platform harmless from any and all claims arising from their products.

1. Commission & Platform Terms

  • Platform Fee: The marketplace retains a standard 10% commission fee on all product sales processed through the platform.

2. Product & Catalog Management

  • Catalog Setup: Products must be submitted and managed exclusively through your Dokan vendor dashboard, utilizing allowed tags and custom attributes matching your front-end filters.
  • Tag & Label Visibility: Front-end tag paragraphs (such as Jewelry for just the Reason, Bandalays Accessories, etc.) are managed via automated display scripts to keep storefront categories clean.
  • Page Customization: Layout elements use responsive columns, custom header layouts, and specific spacing to maintain consistent styling across desktop and mobile views.

3. Order Processing & Fulfillment Flows

  • Vendor Dashboard: All incoming orders, tracking updates, and fulfillment statuses are managed directly through your Dokan vendor dashboard portal.
  • Fulfillment SLA: Orders must be processed, packed, and marked as shipped within the standard window to trigger automated customer notifications.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Stock levels and product availability must be kept up to date directly within your store dashboard to prevent backorders.

4. Shipping Specifications & Weight Limits

  • Carrier Integration: Shipments utilize FedEx and USPS developer API integrations fetched directly through the WooCommerce shipping calculator, driven by internal weight classifications.
  • Weight & Dimension Thresholds:
    • Standard Package Limit: Maximum billable weight per individual package is 25 lbs.
    • Oversized Items: Any items exceeding standard parcel dimensions or the 25 lbs weight cap require special freight classification and manual rate quoting before checkout.

5. Payments, Accounts & Security

  • Vendor Payouts & Schedule: Commissions, earnings, and withdrawal requests are processed through the Dokan payment and withdrawal system. Payouts and requests are processed 30th of the month, provided the account balance meets the minimum threshold.
  • Holding Period & Fees: All earnings are subject to a 30-day holding period following order completion before becoming available for withdrawal, and a $5 withdrawal fee applies to payout requests.
  • Account Security & Access: Administrative store access and authentication protocols are managed securely using verified passkey and password manager workflows, safeguarded by Cloudflare protection and integrated CAPTCHA security checks across login and submission points.
  • Security & Authentication: Domain sender records (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) remain fully authenticated to ensure uninterrupted transactional email delivery.

Note: These terms and operational policies are subject to change and can be updated at any time. The platform reserves the right to immediately shut down accounts, withhold balances, or terminate vendor status in cases involving illegal content, excessive customer returns, or persistent lack of sales activity.
